What is EZPiggy?
EZPiggy is an online budgeting program that lets you create piggy banks to help
you save money. Here is a brief list of what it does:

Allows you to set up budget categories (House, loans, Automobile,
entertainment, etc.)

Allows you to set up sub categories (Auto Loan, auto maintenance, fuel)

Allows you to set a projected budget amount for each sub category

Allows you to create rollover sub categories - hence the term Piggy Bank -
where the amount budgeted rolls over from month to month. (for example, let's
say you want to save up for Christmas. How about $1,200? You create a Piggy
Bank subcategory under savings called Christmas and put $100 into the budgeted
amount ($100/12 months). In 12 months, when you enter the receipts for your
Christmas purchases, you deduct the receipts from your Christmas subcategory.
However, if you make poor impulse buying decisions over that 12 month span you
may blow your Christmas piggy bank on coffee, french fries, and evenings on the
town and have to disappoint your family and friends come gift exchange time.

Allows you to create special items such as fertilizing the lawn every 6 months.
When the month arrives for the special item, the additional amount, let's say
$20, is added to the line item for household expenses or wherever you want it
to appear. This actually doubles as a reminder service as well.
Once you create your budget and budget categories, using EZ Piggy boils down to
simply entering your receipts daily or weekly and entering your income as you
get your paychecks. You can even enter your receipts from your web-enabled
mobile phone. Feel free to sign up and try it.
It is easy to setup and use and very easy to enter your receipts and see the
results...however, as with any kind of budgeting exercise, it will only help
you if you are serious about keeping a budget.
